Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Feast your eyes on this! 25 runners left Vivo gym to head to a Bristol food bank called the Trussell Trust so we could help sort cans and jars and tins galore!
It was not in any way a White Christmas, but we'd decked our heads with hats and tinsel and were stuffed full of Christmas cheer as we ran. It was a short(bread) run to the food bank, and certainly not a Silent Night with Jingle Bells chiming away.
At the food bank we got our (chocolate) fingers stuck in - weighing crate after crate of goods, writing the date on them, sorting them in to groups and lugging them around so they're ready to be donated to people who need them.
It was truly the Season To Be Jolly, and we would like to think that we brought a bit of Christmas Joy To The World, or at least to Bristol - apparently we did a task that would probably have taken about 4 weeks to complete! As we left, we had to find out how many Goodgymmers we could fit in a lift - 24 was the number but only because I was so busy taking photos I forgot to get in! We were so full of (baked)beans on the way back and even though the group got slightly (banana)split up, we regrouped after a few sprints and jumping jacks.
To have so many wonderful people on our last run of the year, and so close to Christmas was an (angel)delight (double points there - a food and a Christmas reference!), and whether this was your first Goodgym run, or your one hundred and first, many many thanks for all that you've done. Please keep coming next year, after all we keep the Christmas spirit alive all year round, helping others and generally being good people.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

It's a pun fest! And one of the best runs of the whole year!
