8 runners ran 7km to build spirit
Summer returned to Bournemouth with a wet and stormy performance!
Big welcome to newcomer Dan who was an unexpected runner, from my point of view and his! He is returning from a big injury and put in an amazing effort :)
After a quick leg sling warm-up we headed to Westbourne through the gardens towards the 'steps of doom'. We need not worry, after floating up we sailed through Westbourne town towards Alum chine. This gave the gang a good chance to practice down-hill technique as we flew to the deserted beach !
A quick game of rounders in the wind and spray didn't dampen the competitive spirit, with much diving from Daryl and some awesome hitting from everyone , with many home rounders scored! But i'm sure the scores were level at the end !:)
Some GoodGym promotion was attempted on the return to flirt, but the weather meant the streets were largely deserted. A final hill sprint up BIC hill blew out all the cobwebs and the remaining stresses of the day! Well done all.....fantastic efforts :)
These really are a talented bunch of runners with open hearts .... theres a marathon in you all!
See you all next week for a Diverse abilities flyer sortie !
