Sheila and Juli went to help out at Braywick Heath Nurseries. We were set the task of starting to clean the panes of glass in one of the empty glasshouses whilst in between growing seasons. Limescale had accumulated on the glass from a season's worth of watering. So armed with clothes and spray- cleaner, we set to work. Half-way through, we decided to have one of us clean while one rinsed and dried - much more efficient. A moment of drama came when Maisie the local killer-cat came in, chasing a very frightened bunny. Maisie was shooed out, and luckily the bunny escaped. By the end of the session we had cleaned a good corner of the greenhouse, but there is much more to do!

We are a small garden garden centre providing volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with support needs

We run a not-for-profit company, supported by paid staff & community volunteers to provide volunteering, work experience and employment for adults with a wide range of support needs. We are currently having a big clear out across our site, and need help moving all of the material to a skip. This will enable us to better use the space we have to expand our operations and better support our volunteers and staff.
