7 Sweet Runners O' Mine ran 9km to Broomfield Hospital and back
We met knockin' on Mildmay Sport Centre's door raring to go despite the terrible weather. James looked concerned that he had forgotten it was Valentine's Day, but fortunately he now has a rose to take home! We had patience in waiting for Joel, and once he arrived and we indulged in our Valentine's photoshoot we set off running through the streets of paradise Chelmsford city. Beginning with a spot of power walking to warm up the legs in the cold winter we then soon hit our stride. Ain't it fun we all cried as we jogged briskly, telling our best Valentine's Day jokes and chat-up lines. Sadly none of them are suitable for publication!
Once we arrived at the sunken garden at Broomfield, welcomed by the fantastic David and Richard, we had an Appetite for digging and got stuck right in. Rachel joined us, telling us you're crazy for running all the way. However, nothing lasts forever, in the cold February rain. After some muddy, sticky, hard work digging the spaces where benches and plants will go, we set off back.
On the long, very wet trek back, Rich outlined his weekend plans for some Chinese democracy at the New Year celebrations. We made it back looking slightly more bedraggled than when we set off, but ain't it fun doing good with GoodGym!
Thank you all for choosing to spend your Valentine's Day with me and helping the local community. Particular praise goes to Catherine for completing her longest ever run! Sorry about the weather, I promise it will be better next week when Laurie is leading the run.
Broomfield Hospital is the main Hospital in Chelmsford.

You've used "ain't it fun" twice. Poor show!
