8 runners ran 2k to help the Friends of Tottenham Green prepare the beds for spring.
Gather round oh best beloved as I tell you the tale of Snow Day and the Seven Sisters (and two brothers).
'twas a bitterly cold night, with much of the country covered in snow, but our brave runners met beside a pool of green, before parting in little grapevine.
Thence I lead our band on a merry goose chase round the block, right back to where we started, while Sarah kept a watch on the tail, lest we split the party.
We gathered magic bags of biodegrading and stuffed them full of fairy gold* . Carefully plucked from between the newly sprouting plants, lest we damage a future beanstalk! *caution fairy gold may turn to leaves by dawn's first light.
Soon we'd filled 18 bags, and it was time to leave. Cathy and Sarah cast a spell of warmth, that worked through the power of lunges and dips. We climbed a vertical mountain to find our final reward was naught but a childish game of Naughts and Crosses!
Mayhap you'll join us next week for another tale of derring do?
