"Mrs H needs some shopping done" - in the old world this would have been a straightforward task, but under current conditions, much advance planning required! Fortunately Mrs H was very organised, had a list of 22 items that she needed for herself and her son isolated at home in Hackney, and provided this to me over the phone.

After complying with all current social distancing requirements outside the supermarket, once in it was the challenge of keeping distance whilst finding all the items whilst keeping an eye on the budget...supermarket sweep this definitely wasn't. Of her list, I sadly failed in finding any mushrooms (nor disinfectant wipes) - but scored 20/22 (with only a few minor substitutes which I hoped she'd be fine with).

Quick walk home with the treasure, then pack everything into a backpack (phew, it all fitted, although the loaf got a bit squashed...apologies...and those eggs need extra care), then it was onto the bike up the A10 to Mrs H's house where she was kindly waiting at her front door to guide me in. Whilst maintaining distance, I explained my failing on the mushrooms and left her purchases on the steps for her to take inside - in turn she kindly thanked me with some chocolates - I thought this a fair trade in the current climate!
