Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
6 GOOD GYM MEMBERS GIVING THIER TIME, HELPING LOCAL JUNIOR ATHLETICS CLUB AND RISING TO THE TASK Report by Rehan Abdullatif.
Today at GoodGym, we met up with the Amazing! Bubbly! Ellie inside the Willesden sports centre. We were discussing our Task and the plan of how to tackle the long jump sand pit as well as make the surrounding area look neat and mess free.
We spent 30mins making the sand pit look presentable, giving it a good make over along with some music from Ellie, her new album, the first in 5months. The feeling of the experience was like being at the beach, with the sun, music and sand everywhere and positive vibes flowing like the sea lapping at the shores.
As we finished, we were in the greatest location to do warm ups & runs, with the Track right by our side! That's right People, no better place to train than at a track with lanes. Warm up persisted of jump ups, kick flicks, lunges, side to side leaps, light-bulb twists and crab walks..... Ellie was pleased to see that we worked as a team and none of us acted Shellfishly LOL
Onto the fun part, we started to do runs on the track. 200 metres twice at a pace rate of 80 percent before jogging back to the start line. Then we went on to doing another 200 metres at a pace rate of 60 percent, and then the last 200 metres at a pace rate of 80 percent, completed twice. The last run was 400m best effort, pushing ourselves to the limit, before a cool down and then on to stretches, with the sun going down. The Positivity! was on a high, as the determination was Strong!
After an amazing afternoon of tidying up & running on the track, we all went our separate ways going home with our heads held high, positive energy feeling Alive!
Till next time...... DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE.

Great report Rehan! Love those seaside references, and the mid-jump photos are ace!
