On a very sunny and warm Saturday afternoon, four GoodGymers made their way over to the launch of the TakePart festival at The Level to help the Brighton & Hove Council Healthy Lifestyles team, spread the GoodGym word and maybe even have a go at some new activities ourselves.

The festival celebrates community sport, dance, exercise and physical activity, and brings together providers from across the city to showcase local opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to lead healthy and active lifestyles.

GoodGym were tasked with supporting the dance stage and workshop area - helping to manage the performers and generally encouraging the crowds to join in with fun and accessible workshops, and we also joined a Health Walk with Amaze - a charity that supports families with disabled children and young people in Sussex.

Towards the end of day we had a chance to let our hair down, as we watched fellow GoodGymer Carla take to the stage as part of the fantastic Marta Scott Dance Company. The energy was high, and the conga was long....!

The Takepart festival runs until Sunday 25th June, and we have more great GoodGym sessions lined up as part of it, including this Tuesday at Bright Table Tennis Club where we will be inviting migrants to join us.
