On a very blowy evening where our planned task was cancelled due to risk of tree fall (😮) we planned an impromptu litter pick before the Acorn running club night. After welcoming Jane to GoodGym and distributing pickers (with some rejection of the weak) we set off, mostly anti-clockwise around the cycle path, with Jane & Leanne taking the reverse route for max pickings.

There was certainly plenty of litter to be had, although getting it into a bag that's trying to break for freedom was not so easy. Vicky found a goldmine where it had all blown against the fence, as well as a (non-functioning) scooter - our second in a week! Debs and I also found a very paint covered collapsed shelf which got quite heavy by the end. As usual, we lost track of time and those heading off on the run had to scoot off or be left behind (as poor Rich and Laura were, although Laura at least didn't look too upset to miss a windy run - Rich set off in hot pursuit!).

We filled an enormous pile of bags in a short space of time, and hopefully the heavier items will keep the bags from launching off before collection!
