Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
They promised snow and for once they may well have been spot on.
With three starter sessions in the bag for the month of Jan we planned to go out with a bang for our fourth and final instalment.
We met at The Avenues Youth Centre W10 4RS, and welcomed our first timers with smiles that only GoodGymers give.
A tour of the building and in depth briefing of the wonderfulness that is GoodGym followed by some lovely words from Carol and her daughter Keighley on the history of the youth club and why what were doing was so important and then we were off.
3 tasks for the day. Firstly some heavy lifting from the ground floor to the first floor, secondly some deep cleaning in and around the art room, and finally a stairwell used for storage need sorting and refresh.
With everyone raring to go we set about our tasks with the usual enthusiasm yet again only found at GoodGym lol.
You'd think the 3 musketeers having already attended a park run, a mission and the pub would have been slightly fatigued but apparently their stamina knows no bounds. Rumour has it that a certain someone exerted no energy whilst on the mission as they spent most of the time "Getting to know" the host. As I said "Rumour has it" lol.
Anyhow an hour passed quickly and everything looked pretty and shiny once more.
Off out the door for a 30 minute tour of the locale followed by a request for a selfie I believe our work was done. We gave the sprints a miss and concentrated on talking our newbies into signing up for missions and a coach :-)
It appears our plan worked.
Thanks to our newbies for coming out to get to know us and thanks to our regulars for showing them what we do best 😊
Till next time.
