Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
This morning, three intrepid Croydon GoodGym runners ran the Selsdon Half Marathon as a relay team.
This was the first experience most of us had of relay running, and what a great experience it was. The race is a fantastic one organised by a local church; this was the first time they've allowed relay teams, so we enjoyed taking them up on that offer. Juliet had run the entire course herself in the past, so was able to warn us about some of the hillier hills we would encounter on our sections!
That said, the weather was good, and the marshal team were fantastic, which made the run really enjoyable. Each of us putting in a fab performance, team Goodgym finished in 2:02. Considering the hills each of us encountered, we were quite chuffed with that time! Juliet started us off, I did the middle stretch, and Ian smashed the last portion; meeting him at the finish line, we collected our medals and goodybags, and eventually headed off.
We each look forward to our next races, and are sending good vibes to those doing the Reading Half tomorrow!
