Shed Seven Tonnes of Weeds
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 15th of December 2018
Ms S needed some help clearing her garden of weeds so that she could have a shed delivered which would provide the storage she needed to help keep her house tidy.
It was bitingly cold this morning, so Monica and I were pleased to have plenty to get on with to keep us warm! Thankfully the ground was still relatively soft despite the temperature, so we were able to make swift progress pulling handfuls of weeds out at a time, and it wasn’t long before we had filled the entire green waste bin as well as a few extra sacks. Having made sufficient inroads into the weeding, we soon decided to pack up when it started to rain!
Ms S was so pleased with our progress and dedication despite the chilly conditions that she shed a grateful tear. What a fantastic privilege it is to be able to provide such help to people who are in need.
