Report written by Tabitha Skinner
Last Monday night, Josh and Tabitha laced up their running shoes and set off on a 3-kilometer run from their starting point to Abbey Community Centre. The refreshing breeze and the rhythm of their footsteps propelled them towards their destination, ready to make a positive impact upon arrival.
Upon reaching Abbey Community Centre, they were greeted by Holly and Lee, fellow GoodGym volunteers . It was Holly's first time participating in a GoodGym Brent activity, and it was great to welcome a new member of the team.
The task for the day wascleaning the windows of Abbey Community Centre. Josh skillfully utilized a long pole to reach the higher windows, ensuring a thorough cleaning process. Tabitha, Holly, and Lee attentively cleaned the remaining windows, paying attention to the details and ensuring a streak-free finish. Their dedication and attention to cleanliness aimed to create a welcoming space for all who visit the community center.
With their task completed and the windows sparkling clean, the GoodGym Brent volunteers took a moment to appreciate their collective accomplishment. Satisfied with a job well done, they bid farewell to Abbey Community Centre and embarked on their run back home.
