An exciting but cold start to the year, Goodgym Richmond's group runs are back!
We met outside our favourite pub, unfortunately not for a drink but to get started on our Monday group run. We were lucky to be joined by two new faces to Goodgym - Jack and Kerry, give them a cheer! The run was a beautiful 3km route on the Thames path towards Ham House, it was quite eerie in the dark with the fog rolling along the river, the head torches were essential.
Ken was waiting for us on the path and guided us towards our tasks, one group would be tree felling and another group would be cutting back brambles. I'm not sure if it was over confidence or a desire to keep warm but the tree felling team tackled everything, cutting down even the largest trees by hand. JP even got chance to practice his caber throwing.
Trees chopped and brambles tackled we headed home in various directions with everyone looking forward to the next group run.
It's good to be back.
