Report written by Andrew Robson
It was a cold, wet and grey morning at City Stadium this morning, but that didn't stop us from more tree felling.
It was more of the usual today, cutting back the overgrowth to allow people to see into the park and make everything feel a lot safer for park users. Amy returned for her 3rd good deed in 4 days! She was pleased by how much stronger she has become since helping out at the parks tasks! It really can be a good workout.
It was also great to have the Ross and Katy dream team back in action. Apart from getting stuck in to clearing out the unsightly overgrowth, they also took turns at GoodGym recruitment as we were joined by a special guest. Jamie joined us from Durham University where his current project includes the work that Urban Green Newcastle are doing with the parks in Newcastle. Hopefully Ross and Katy did enough sweet talking to mean we will have another GoodGym volunteer joining us in future. Jamie pls.
Big loves, A x
