6 brave Goodgymmers gathered after a very wet Saturday morning at an area of the NCN and were rewarded with a change in weather. This was an area that we decided was just a little too far for a Monday group run (although we could have done with those numbers!)
SUSTRANS Simon gave us a quick brief and showed off his new litter picking trolley, before we made a start.
Max and Michelle started by literally shovelling the worst of the litter into bags, then we got to the fiddlier bits in between vegetation and railings.
As well as the usual cans, bottles, wrappers and masks, we found a bulk bag, bed headboard and a little robot. We got an impressive amount in 1.5 hours, but sadly so much more left behind 😔 (and we didn't even get a start on cutting back vegetation!)
We posed with our haul and I had fun getting witchy on a broomstick, before Simon handed out Transpennine Trail balloons and we all went off in search of lunch
