...Up, down

In a scene reminiscent of Karate Kid, five of Goodgym's finest students met with their running sensei to paint the fence of Wanstead House and ran 7km in the process.

With lots of runners away for their holidays a small group worked hard to continue progress on the mammoth job of painting more than 30 fence panels surrounding Wanstead House Community Association. This has been an ongoing project but the group is getting close to finishing and there is maybe only six or seven panels left to do before the Autumn comes and the weather changes.

With five panels painted in under 20 minutes it was time to explore the local area with a run around Eagle Pond and Epping Forest. While the rain always threatened, it held off allowing team Redbridge to cover 7km of glorious trails and road.

All that was left was a nice stretching session with Ellie using her physio expertise to give us a new "stretch of the week" - a nice upper body stretch working the shoulders and pectoral muscles.

Fancy getting involved? Next week we will be meeting local legend Marian to help with some planters near Wanstead Station! You can sign up to this session here
