I was the only one at the allotment session this time. The task owner was on holiday so there were no service users and the only other GG member still signed up didn't show up.

It has been decided that nobody should attend the allotments on their own so it would appear my journey was wasted. However when you are handed lemons make lemonade so I had a quick look over the fence to make sure our cardboard "weed sheet" hadn't shifted in yesterdays blustery showers and headed home for a lovely sunny ride via beautifully kept Valentines Park and the nature reserve in Fairlop Waters.

Arriving home I was reminded that work was actually still being done for the allotments as Hubby fellow GGR member Ed was busy dismantling pallets to use the wood to make surrounds for the planting beds. We have been carrying these pallets home from a local garden (with the owners permission) and storing the wood here until we can take it to the allotment to assemble. So I signed him up and I'm counting this activity as the SHP mission for this week.
