A lovely mild evening for a gentle GG good deed and walking exercise.

We all met at 6.30pm at the station and after picking out litter from the planters, we made our way behind the main road towards Hainault Rec as we know there's always litter in the bushes there - unsightly and doesn't seem to be picked up often.

On the way there we already started collecting discarded drink bottles, plastic bags and the usual wrappers. We also saw a very nonchalant fox just sitting there watching us, probably taking a note of where we would put our rubbish bag for later destruction;)

When we approached Hainault Rec fields we were pleasantly surprised - seems like the council did the annual clear up and there wasn't much litter! But we needn't worry - we didn't even get to the end of the rec when we already had 2 full bags and huge plastic cover collected in 50mins! We dropped the bags at the park on the other side and did a nice walk around the field back to the station.

Great walking, chatting and litter picking everyone!
