What a smashing time we had at Parkinson's Cricket today. I popped along to join in with the fun provided by the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation.

We had some target practice followed by throwing and catching, and then moved onto a cricket match, with everyone taking a turn at bowling, batting and fielding.

The highlight of the game was indeed a high-light! The ball managed to hit one of the light bulbs in the hall and smashed it to smithereens! Thankfully nobody was standing beneath it, and one of the volunteers cleared up efficiently with a dustpan and brush.
