It's Tuesday, which means it's time for a shopping trip to Asda to pick up essentials for Mr M. Today's list had two new items added, smoked fish and The Daily Mirror joined his regular foods.
Despite amber weather warnings and tales of impending torrential rain, the day started off mild and dry. Perfect conditions for a walk to the shop, whilst taking the dogs for a walk.
We enjoyed a leisurely stroll, taking advantage of quiet pathways and interesting things to see (and smell) along the way.
All was straightforward and the shopping was done in record time. Besides a little whining, the dogs waited patiently but were happy to be on the move again.
Plenty of mud and puddles along the way provided some mucky entertainment for them, whilst I tried to avoid getting my feet wet.
Mr M was in a positive mood when we dropped of the goods, and we had a chat about the weather, his poorly car, and the COVID vaccination program.
Being just over 75, Mr M should be receiving his letter soon, and is watching the post daily.
Off we set, taking the long way home, along the canal. Rain must have been heavy overnight, another water was looking decidedly brown today.
