Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Tim Dickson
OMG................. To say it was a little chilly at Bexley Goodgym last night would be an understatement. No indoor task for us. Nope, we wrapped up and like troopers hit our local area for a litter pick. Heading out with a slow and steady jog as the floor was quite slippery in places we headed out onto Brampton Road towards the railway line. Swooping into the Danson Centre car park, then onto the Adult education centre gardens and bushes it really didn't take long for us to start filling our bags. I,m not going to lie, despite the cold and snow blizzard we laughed and smiled along our route. I'm not sure though if the laughter was actually a desperate cry for hand warmers or not.

Arriving at the railway bridge it was so good to get shelter from the wind chill and snow flurry. I don't know if it was an hallucination but there where several take away cups lined up along the bridge. At first we thought some kind soul knew we were coming and had left us some hot chocolates but alas this was not the case. It was just more rubbish :-) This was our half way point as the weather was getting pretty bad. Safety is always our main concern at Bexley Goodgym. Still in high spirits, and really proud by the fact we were out running (albeit slow) and doing a great task in these conditions we litter picked our way back to base camp. On arrival it was just a matter of knotting up our rubbish bags and posing for a few accomplishment photo's. To finish up i just want to hi 5 Sharine, Katie and Cheryl for being awesome and getting out this evening. Next week is Birthday week at Bexley. Its been running and doing good deeds for a whole year. Its been an absolute pleasure running and working with everyone. Here's to another fab year.......... See you all next week. Tim
