Two visits to Mrs D over the same weekend?... I hear you asking. Well, yes it can be confusing, this is the other Mrs D, Mrs D of Maidenhead, while the other Mrs D is of Windsor. I've met Mrs D of M for the first time today, she has had previous GoogGym visits but got interrupted as she was in the hospital for a while. She is now back home and she is telling me that she's been feeling really good, and I can confirm she is looking great as well. She is a lovely lady and she has many stories to tell. I am tempted to declare that all Mrs Ds are great story tellers!! That's my experience so far anyway 😊 She told me about her childhood, her father was a Navy officer and he would go out to sea for 3 to 4 years at a time. In fact, she only met her father for the first time when she was 4 years old. Her mum said that she knew what she was getting into when she got married to her father, and just accepted and got on with life. It's hard to imagine this nowadays... And those were difficult times with WWII going on. Mrs D didn't have any toys in her childhood and therefore she didn't know to miss them. Books were her friends and still are, she is very happy curled up and reading a book.
