This was my first social visit with Mrs J who was feeling lonely and wanted some company. Mrs J chatted about her family, where one of her two sons lives nearby and regularly comes to visit. Her other son who lives up North had left a present for her in one of the closets for her mothers day present since he couldn't make his way down South last week and she was thoroughly surprised! We nattered away about previous jobs we had done, both of us having worked at a school meant something in common so it was great to chat to about the differences in how the schools were run back then compared to these days. Afterwards, Mrs J spoke about her trip to Canada to meet her long-distance and long-term pen pal from when they were very young and how the Canadian media made her into a star on the local news during her visit. Mrs J then explained her love of tigers and tortoises from pointing out at all the figures and statues she had been collecting over the years which was quite interesting to look at! We both enjoyed the chatting and I look forward to visiting Mrs J again in the future.
