7 runners ran 5.8 km to interAct to paint walls and ceilings in their TV room

Congratulations to all that ran the Hadleigh 10K last Sunday. It was a a tough course but we all represented Chelmsford GoodGym well.

Carrying on with the excellent work from last week we briskly ran down the high street taking blurry photos and smiling at the cameras outside the courts, we arrived at InterAct raring to go.

Susie had given me the keys earlier in the day so we let ourselves in and began to move the furniture and put down dust sheets to get started on painting the walls and ceiling. Quickly realizing that we couldn't work out which parts had been painted or not we chose areas that looked like they needed an extra coat and began to work with brushes and rollers to give the TV room a bit of life.

After tea and biscuits were consumed ( + 1 coffee and water ) we quickly cleaned up and took a stylish photo on the sofa, with Roger the star of the show, and then made our way back into the cold night.

I had planned a FUN fartlek workout for this evening but soon realized that it was just to cold to be standing around. I know Cara was happy about missing this. So instead we just had an extended run back to base. Although we did manage some high knees and bum flicks along the high street.

Thanks for coming tonight guys and hope to see you next week where we will be going to do some good at Mencap. Also don't forget our next social will be at the Keg's beer festival on Friday 16th February!
