Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
It was raining, and as Mrs H is having her hallway redecorated, today's shopping list dictation took place from her sofa in her living room. Mrs H's list is pretty well known to the both of us by now, with only a few ad hoc requests from her son who chipped in from his perch on the sofa.
So it was up the hill to Morrisons in the light rain, and then to work shelf picking whilst keeping an eye on the overall budget and eliminating a few of the less essential items along the way. Not much social distancing in the queue to pay (pretty sure I could have participated in the call that the lady behind me was having) but otherwise a pleasant and successful experience.
As always Mrs H was really appreciative of the help and disclosed it's her birthday at the weekend (the balloons floating over her dining table were a bit of a giveaway) - we ended up having another good chat in her front room about the easing of lockdown and her plans for the weekend (didn't seem she had an all nighter planned to celebrate her big day...or if she did she wasn't saying) and I left her to sort out the shopping and somehow navigate past the wallpaper table blocking her route to the kitchen.
