Soil in the bed...
29 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.
- Monday, 20th of April 2015
- Led by Laura Williams
30 GoodGym runners met up at the fabulous Town Hall Hotel this Monday to get out around the borough and make good things happen. From the glamour of our own suite in the hotel Tom talked through the two tasks before we split the group into two.
Half of us headed West to Hollybush Estate to tackle some heavy duty pruning, with the other half heading East to Victoria Park to fill plant beds with rubble and soil reading for planting. Many hands made light work of both tasks which allowed enough time for us all reconvene at Victoria Park to tackle twenty minutes of core, strength and conditioning and short, fast intervals.
After we had pruned, shovelled, squatted, planked and sprinted we were only left with a 'discussion' with the local youth to attempt to negotiate the safe return of a stolen cone (failed discussions!) before we stretched and headed back to base.
Well done everyone on tackling two tasks, and working hard on a beautiful evening!
