Solid Support for Solidarity Sports
7 GoodGymers made their way to help the Solidarity Sports in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Last Thursday seven sprightly GoodGymers offered a helping hand at the first ever Volunteer Awards Ceremony for Solidarity Sports. Originally rooted in sports, the charity has grown to incorporate a whole host of positive well-being focused activities, including arts and mentorship, with the aim of bringing fun, happiness and adventure to the lives of children in the local area. The evening celebrated the determination, commitment and brilliance of all Solidarity Sports volunteers, with special awards for those shining stars who have gone the extra mile to make a difference. GoodGym were on hand throughout the night, welcoming guests, serving (very yummy) food, organising the awards and encouraging guests to get their photo snapped in the Instagram booth – with the help of a few comedy props! It was a wonderful event to be a part of and it was great to hear so many inspirational stories of how Solidarity Sports has positively influenced the lives of the children they work with, helping them to build their confidence and grow lasting friendships along the way. Most importantly, by drafting in our help, the event organisers were able to give all the Solidarity Sports volunteers a well-earned night off!
