On a day that was threatening rain and occasionally delivered, Jo and Matthew attended J's flat. Matthew thought he recognised J and he was correct as he had done another task for J last year. J has since downsized and taken all his possessions with him and so since the start of lockdown he has not had room to put his bed up and has been sleeping on his sofa. J, a lovely chap has all sorts of health issues and his care worker was concerned about his health and wanted him to have a bed to sleep on.

Enter Jo and Matthew and the massive challenge of moving things around and then moving them again, and once more for good measure in order to be able to move other things out of the way. You get the picture. After two hours of moving and grunting and more grunting and not a small amount of perspiration, we eventually got the bed up, so tonight J can sleep in his own bed. There is still plenty to do as there are just so many boxes to go through and decisions to be made but we hope that we have helped J in some small way make his flat seem more like a home.

Well done for this mission Matthew and Jo - the referrer has got in touch with us to say how grateful J is for the help. We have also fed back to them that J may need some extra help going forward so hopefully he will be more settled in his new house soon. Well done again for a great and impactful task.
