Dream Team!

Tonight there might have only been 5 of us but we were a 'dream team', even dubbed 'Charlie's (Mark's) Angels' at one point we were ready for sun, run, task and pun!

Mark took us on a beautiful run , protecting us from the July heat as we ran in the shade and up a steady but small hill. We commented on the pleasure of running on different terrain and how lovely Richmond looked by the river in the sunshine...we are spoilt! We ended our run on Richmond Green in front of the old faithful shed, which, thankfully was stocked well tonight.

We had buckets of enthusiasm, cleaning fluid, and cloths ready to once again clean the white posts around Richmond Green for the Council and all who enjoy the green! We set to work with Mark even lending a hand due to limited runners. He too got GoodGym fever tonight and no not from the heat but from the unwillingness to leave a task unfinished...it happens to the best of us Mark and as Kate said 'it only took you 101 runs to find out'

We hit the bar!

Not only did we hit the bar between the posts (all football quotes shouted aloud from guess who!!) ...But we also hit the bars on the Green so a big thank you to the Cricketers and the Princes Head for the water to get the job done!

As we scrubbed we were greeted by a Richmond resident who left their home to personally thank us for our work and even offered to refill our buckets with fresh water. It was lovely to hear the appreciation of someone in the local community and made us even more determined to clean as many posts as time would allow. Thank you sir for your help!

After a few poses with bottles of flash for the ever alluding 'photo of the week' we jogged back to Wholefoods with a target of 5km to input into strava.

Good luck to Samia and** Jane** who are tackling a Richmond Mission this Wednesday evening.

Someone has a birthday coming up!

In a fortnight's time Richmond will be 2 years old! We are celebrating on Monday 16th July after the task by having a picnic on the Green, details and how to sign up can be found here

Happy Running!
