Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Danny
Was back at Ms. M’s today doing a shop for her in Sainsbury’s. Was all a formality as I knew where I was going, and like all of us her appetite hadn’t changed much in a few weeks.
This time I noticed a plaque in her building identifying it as having been opened over 150 years ago by Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn – seems he was one of Victoria’s large portfolio of spawn. This makes the place as old as Neville Chamberlain, Campbell’s Soup, War & Peace and the periodic table. Remarkably, it nonetheless had a lift.
On the way I also spied through someone’s front gate this vast head they had in their driveway. It appears to have GRP fibres on the end if it’s nose and is light enough to be propped above an egress window, so isn’t some antiquity hewn from stone – a salvaged movie prop perhaps?
PS: It was 250th GG task if that counts as a milestone...?
