Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A big welcome to our first timers tonight Rosa, Sally, Sara, Christina and Emma.
Also joining us was brand new GoodGym Sheffield Trainer Tom. He's down south to learn the ropes.
A rather long briefing with lots of news, including mention of the special GG fitness session on Thursday and Drinks on Thursday. Get fit or get drunk? Up to you?
We also had our haiku competition. The Gg-ers with the best haiku get to go to the sought-after farm task. Here's the offerings:
Meg
Stubbed my toe, now it's
purple. Doc prescribed a short
run and happy goats.
Fiona
Running to do good
with semblance of cleaner
air oh supply me
Kike
Goodgym Islington
for runners doing good deeds
Debating biscuits
Frances
Frances
I said I would bake
So you already promised
I’d go to the farm
So, Kike led that lot and a few other speedsters to the farm for shovelling galore, while Aidan led a group to Single Homeless Project's Highbury New Park site to sort out their garden and have a bit of a longer run, and Simon took a gang to Wilton Square to relocate compost, do a special squat challenge with Tom and perform a three-team, five-person continuous relay.
Big debate this evening. After a creepy comment about assaulting people and a few complaints to GG central about Simon we discussed what the most important birthday to celebrate. 30 won.
Treats this week were provided by Sarah. Delicious brownies that were still warm! Amazing.
Frances is in charge of treats next week when we're off to St. Luke's Community Centre.
See you there,
Simon
P.S. Tip of the GG cap to Chris for pun report title
