Six runners dashed through the streets of Barnsley delivering as many GG flyers as physically possible!
Tonight, on a dark and drizzly evening in Barnsley, the planned task was to deliver some of our GG Barnsley flyers to as many houses as we could, whilst getting a good run in in the process! To start off, we assembled at Shaw Lane to finish off putting the social media stickers onto the remaining leaflets.
With Steve as the group's run leader once again and Rachel bringing up the rear, the group headed off on the 1.5km run to the neighbourhood where we would be posting to. Many of the houses were decorated festively with lights a plenty, helping to light our way! With two of the group ill and injured staying in a designated spot with all the leaflets, the other four ran like troopers from street to street and house to house in the pouring rain, clocking up a huge 7km in total! When it was finally time to head back to base, we had massively lightened our load, worked up a sweat and were definitely ready to head out for dinner!
With everyone keen to eat and the rain still pouring down, I decided to be nice and not put everyone through a fitness sesh! However fear not, I am not that kind, so I explained to everyone that I'd be sending the fitness session out and expecting evidence from them to show that they completed it!
To stay festive and Christmas themed, the fitness session is:
