If nothing else, these past few weeks have certainly taken me to different parts of the neighbourhood - today was no different and it was good to be able to help Mr A, who is stuck at home whilst undergoing treatment, on a sunny Thursday lunchtime.

Armed with his easy to read comprehensive list and cash in my hand, I set off for the local shops on the Stoke Newington Road hopeful of securing everything on his list - I've noticed that I know mentally scan a list identifying those I think will be the easy wins, and then the "umm, not sure" items...this list definitely had a mix of both but I was determined not to be deterred.

So it was that after queueing at local branches of our two leading supermarket chains, I managed to nearly get the full house of items, but was foiled by not finding spring onions nor Brussel sprouts (the latter certainly on the "umm, not sure" list!).

A pleasant walk back in the sunshine, thankful I'd brought extra bags and a backpack with me, and a ring of Mr A's doorbell and it was time to deposit his treasure, change and receipts - after I'd explained the few missing items, which he took with grateful good humour, Mr A and I bid each other farewell and a mutual wish to stay safe out there.
