Spring tea-raining at Parkwood Springs
8 GoodGymers made their way to help the Sheffield City Council in Sheffield.
- Saturday, 9th of March 2019
- Led by Chris Dyer
Eight hardy Good Gym runners braved all four seasons in a couple of hours to help out at Parkwood Springs. Warm sunshine, rain, wind and hail all took a turn while we weeded and spread chippings in the forest garden. Caroline decided that more exercise was need and decided to use her Good Gym-perfected wall sits technique to straighten a leaning pine tree. Fortunately, Tree-mendous Tim, our host from Sheffield City Council, had come prepared with not one, but two, storm kettles and after a vigorous spell rooting out grass, tea and sandwiches were served on the lawn. We’ll be back in a few weeks for another go!
