So instead of doing one challenge in the blazing heat after a full day at work , why not do it twice! That's right, I decided that this week rather than alternating between the Kingston and Richmond challenges , I would do both and that meant that this week I was doubling my sprints.

Mark set this great challenge and I was excited to get stuck into it, I like sprints but haven't done them in some time and I know how great they are for fitness! I donned my race vest and headed to a quiet recreation ground where I first of all did a steady jog to warm up as per Mark's instructions. I wasn't too sure how far 50 metres was (I am rubbish at that stuff!) so after some research I discovered that it is roughly 66 steps ...so I measured it out in strides and got ready for my first sprint.

So it was suggested to us to do 5 sprints, increasing the intensity each time, so instead I did 10 - 5 for each of the two boroughs ....about halfway I started to wish I was part of the picnic birthday party on the other side of the green and started to try visualization techniques to get me to the 10th sprint ....I imagined chasing their chocolate birthday cake , a million pounds and other runners!!! Thankfully it worked! I completed all 10 sprints and jogged home feeling chuffed.
