It was wonderful to spend the evening with the lovely Maurice tonight. We enjoyed a lovely walk around our beautiful park and around the George’s.

Tonight we combined our exercise with our task - which was a litter pick. We headed into the park first, and soon realised that someone had probably beaten us to it, as there didn’t appear to be an awful lot of litter - although we didn’t go away empty-handed! While we were in the park, we enjoyed admiring the, beautiful purple flowers (I have no idea what they’re called) and feeding the squirrels! They really enjoyed Maurice's nuts!

We made our way through the park and onto the George’s. We walked across the field as well as around the circumference. The litter there was a different story completely! We certainly weren’t short of items to pick up as the mower that had recently cut the grass, had shredded many items into dozens of pieces!!!

As always, we never ran out of things to talk about and it was really good to chat. Maurice was inspired to get back to running at the George’s again after watching many runners pass us.

We had some pleasant conversations with some of the other people who were out and about too, and it’s always nice to know that most people do respect their local surroundings and don’t drop rubbish.

Thanks for being awesome Maurice. You're an absolute legend.

Have a fab week.

Lots of love. Nicola x
