It had been a busy weekend of running locally with many Goodgym runners completing 10k and half marathon races in Dorset! Hannah had completed her first half marathon in a great time, making light work of the hills! Elizabeth had done the double with a 10k on Saturday evening, followed by a 10k on Sunday!

Tonight we met at The Junction before heading off along the route of the Broadstone Quarter Marathon route. The aim was purely for recovery and to move the legs gently so we plodded around the route, down the hill and back up again to the church.

Our aim at the church is to support the small number of gardeners that volunteer in the church so we set to task! Shelley and Becky tackled the overgrown bushes against the church walls whilst Hannah took to the small growth around the trees.

Elizabeth, Patricia and Robert attacked the weeds along the side of the church walls which had grown tall and proud since last time!

We soon filled a bin liner of weeds and needles, piles of cut back bushes and some brambles pulled out!

We love to leave a job with a real look of making that difference, so we swept along the walkway to the church doors leaving a great view and look to the church. Hannah earned extra kudos by running to and from the task, whilst Robert cycled down from his house nearby and back for extra fitness gains!

Well done everyone!
