1 GoodGymer made their way to help the The Felix Project in Tower Hamlets.
- Saturday, 16th of July 2022
- Led by Laura Williams
1 goodgymer cycled 1 mile to do goodgyming at Felix's project.
At arrival, I was directed by Pedro to sign in on a tablet (very official👀) and get myself a pair of safety boots and hi-vi (from a big pile of Let-hope-they-are-clean clothing dump😆)
After a few minutes of an officially unofficial odor inspection, I was dressed up for the warehouse. (wasn't sure if I had overdosed myself? )
Another volunteer at the project let me call her T gave me a tour. I learnt about all the important places like the fire exits, toilets, kitchen... Etc before I was assigned my job of the day.
To distribute food fairly to different charities, which means going through piles of boxed and mixed donations and then put them separately into crates, and ultimately stack them up!
Last but not least, the promised hot meal didnt disappoint! Juicy hot chicken, beef burger, chips and lentils. Well earned calories.
Well done me!

Did this task previously with Hester. Very confusing at first, trying to find all the food
You are not alone! It was indeed confusing.
