Definitely no sitting down on the job at Alexandra Recreation Ground today! As well as helping to sand one of the wooden benches ready for a coat of fresh oil, there was weeding, pruning, litter picking and sweeping for volunteers to get stuck into. We cordoned off the bench to stop any park users sitting on it overnight as it will need time to dry and another coat of oil tomorrow.
