Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Steve Lee
Remember Group runs? From the Before Times? Well, this trip through Camden brought back some familiar landmarks, memories and new discoveries en route to help Ms C with a double-header task of a pharmacy run and weekly Big Shop. But wait, more than a double-header, the journey also featured not one, but two shops bearing my name (shout out to local passer-by Angie who tipped me off about the second one while I was on a video call to my mum outside the first). So that’s a double-header x3 Steve Lee’s and x4 if you count the photo I took in the shiny elevator doors. I mean, at that point numbers don’t go up that high, and my ego can’t expand that far. Also, shout out to a pub I spotted next to Speedy Place - you’re on a post-run to-do list as soon as pubs re-open.
But back to the task - Ms G, like many people GoodGym has been visiting during the pandemic had been instructed to remain indoors. “Yes it is boring, but I have just been told that I can go outside so I’m looking forward to having a walk around again,” she smiled. Ms G was lovely and had a super-thorough list, filled out with prices, in the order I would encounter them in the shop AND in duplicate so she could talk me through the items from a safe distance before I set off - does that double our running Steveception total? We’ll never know.

Well done on a great double mission Steve. Lovely that you got to visit an area you knew - and spot a few new things!
