Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Anji Andrews (she/her)
The minute I arrived at the Task today the work had already started and Michael was super busy with the wheelbarrow. We had been asked to arrive a little earlier today to get food parcels packed into cars before it started to get dark which certainly feels like it's getting earlier.
Rae arrived on her bike a few minutes later and we got stuck into preparing deliveries and counting bags of food and toiletries with the help of other volunteers helping out.
The best part of today (and my 125th good deed!!) was seeing how well-stocked the foodbank is after a number of donations this week including two bags from GoodGym runners. If you'd like to donate please let me know and I can arrange it for you, or you can sign up to our Walk Talk Donate event (under Training Sessions) next week. We spent the remaining time unpacking donations ready for the packing task tomorrow, so hopefully Charlotte, Louise and Michael will see a big difference.
Well done everyone!

We also deliver the Freedom Programme domestic abuse recovery course, helping women to better understand the roots of domestic abuse and build confidence to identify warning signs in the future. In addition to this, East End Women also offer social activities and drop-in sessions for women experiencing isolation to meet one another, make friends and build local networks.
