Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
16 GoodGymers ran between four and seven km on two tasks to help Camden.
*Group One Run Report written by Frances:
Becky led eight early bird GoodGym-ers to the American International Church near Goodge Street to once again help them make up the beds for the homeless people staying there overnight. Thanks Polly for backmarking!
Strategic Pillow Case Switches
Once there we set to work making up the beds, sorting sheets, duvets and duvet covers to make the beds nice and cosy. Once we'd finished, the only thing left to do was for Andy to make a few strategic switches to ensure that as many of the pillow cases as possible matched the duvet cases - this was apparently "Very Important!".
After finishing at our earliest time yet, we set off to Alara to meet the others.
Group Two went to Alara, which is a wholefoods project which makes lovely products, including muesli and granola! We had four tasks: litter pick the garden, uproot stakes, weed the Apricot trees and MAKE A FIRE! We split into teams and got going. Everyone did an amazing job despite the wet fire wood.
With everyone regrouped at Alara we all mucked in to swiftly finish off the tasks before being rewarded by Vlad with boxes of various cereals!
Socket to Pocket!
We then headed to Granary Square for our monthly time trial, just before going we did a drill based on arm technique - socket to pocket! Everyone set off as one group for a lap around Granary Square and everyone did amazingly and came in in record time!
Well done to Freya for her 50th Good Deed - woop woop!
