Visually impaired (VI) runners Mark and Lynn joined Achilles International regulars Mike, Anne, Charlie, Simon and Kim at Stratford underground station last night for an awesome floodlit run around the Olympic Park.
The plan was to try out a new potential course for weekly Thursday evening runs throughout the year. In Winter, we run at Emirates Stadium and Paddington Rec Track (two floodlit locations), and in Summer, we run at Green Park as well. Together, we ran a smashing loop around Waterden Park, Olympic Park and past the Velopark- about 1.6 miles for a full loop, with a warm up and cool down run from the London Aquatics Centre (our chosen bag drop and guide dog watch location!).
We are very excited to see if this new location could work for future visits with Achilles International! Well done everyone!
