Strong Arm of the Lawn
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Saturday, 28th of September 2019
Despite the wet weather, Gary and I turned up at Mrs Jās to help out in the garden but it was too wet to use the electric mower.
Not to be defeated, Gary spied an old hand mower and using sheer brute force set about tackling the tall grass in the back garden - earning himself a new nickname in the process - THE BRAWN MOWER!
Meanwhile, I tackled the nettles and brambles threatening to take over all sides of the garden.
Spurred on by a cup of tea, we changed roles as I powered up (eventually) a petrol strimmer and tackled the rest of the lawn and borders whilst Gary raked up the cuttings, weeded the pathway and moved all the waste.
This was a full upper body workout today, particularly the arms which I anticipate being very sore tomorrow!
It was great to get so much done despite the weather š

THE BRAWN MOWER! Great wrestling name I think? Fabulous mission both and well done for persevering despite the weather!
Good work Gary and Dave!
