Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
Both Paulin and I will have a few unexpected aches tomorrow after this evening's weight bearing sofa led workout and where a good bit of GoodGym creative thinking and previous unco-operative furniture shifting experience came to the rescue to salvage the mission.
We were tasked with moving Mr M's sofa upstairs into a small spare room to create space for him to return home. At first glance it all seemed doable, but only when we tried all different combinations of twisting and turning of the sofa to try and get it up the stairs did we realise that perhaps it wasn't meant to be.
Fortunately we'd spotted a space under the stairs that looked like an ideal sofa parking spot, and so after a bit more furniture shifting up and down the now very familiar stairs, we were delighted to discover the sofa fitted perfectly into this alcove.
After a quick tidy up of all the other items we'd moved, we demonstrated our handiwork to Mr M's kind neighbour who was looking after his flat whilst he's in hospital, and she declared herself very pleased with this evening's team effort.
