Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Kat
When Danny and I arrived at the task location, our host Miss J was already outside getting a bit of fresh air. The hot weather lately has meant her flat was too stuffy, so spending time outside has been a nice solution to her problem. :)
Miss J shared she would be moving house in around 2 weeks' time and wanted to pack everything in advance. We thought this was good planning and said we would be happy to help.
Our first task involved taking out some of Miss J's belongings from the storage beneath her bed. Unfortunately, she had a leg injury, which prevented her from doing tasks like this herself. We packed the items that needed moving and took them to the other room, where they could be easily accessed on Miss J's move day.
The other tasks involved unscrewing the hook in her wardrobe, packing some kitchen items, as well as wrapping clothes that Miss J is not currently using. One item that stood out was Miss J's Guns 'n' Roses t-shirt, which she seemed very happy to own. 🎸We joked she would get on very well with her new neighbours, which made Miss J laugh. (The area Miss J would be moving to is well known for its art and music scene.)
Before leaving, our host asked us if we can stay while she made an urgent phone call regarding her upcoming move. Soon after, she seemed pleased with the outcome of the call and joked that we have brought her good luck. We said our goodbyes and wished her all the best with her move.
P. S. To cool down, we enjoyed ice coffees in the sun while walking around Regent's Park. I highly recommend visiting the Rose Gardens at this time of the year! 🌹
