Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by David Ewens
The day was a glorious sunny Sunday, Catriona had ran many kilometres away from Hammersmith whilst I cycled my way to our destination from Brixton. We arrived on the dot and introduced ourselves to Mr A, where he kindly invited us in offering water to hydrate us from our travels. We entered the garden and straight away we got cracking on in the sun (sun cream was applied on because we're professional like that). Whilst I mown a patch of grass, Catriona got digging and turn over the patch of grass that was required of us. Whilst this was all happening we were offered bananas, apples and oranges.......endlessly. We did eventually decided to take a time out and refuelled on the fruits on offer. After that I joined Catarina on turning over the grass patch which was to be prepared for artificial grass so their grandchildren and come play on when they visit. After a good job well done we had more fruit that was well earned and also still kindly being supplied to us. We spent time talking to both Mr and Mrs A, how are both lovely and even offered us sandwiches which we declined as we were both stuffed and full from the free fall of fruits from Mr A.
