After the horrendously wet start at Eastney Junior parkrun this morning we were very fortunate the sun came out for our 30km Relay in aid of Home-Start Portsmouth.

Dave got us started with a speedy 5km, followed by great efforts from Vicki and Wilson. Wilson ran their fastest 5km in a while and that speediness travelled through the baton to Jen who ran a PB. John made his return to training with a walk supported by Sinead, Wilson and Vicki - hereby known as John's Angels! Our anchor leg was completed by Julie who walked her furthest distance since having surgery on her foot.

Many thanks to The Briny who kept us fed and watered throughout the relay and played host to our raffle. Top prize was taken by Sinead, who will hopefully invite us all to dinner at Sopranos!

We raised a total of £120 for Home-Start which will go towards supporting families who are struggling to make ends meet during the cost of living crisis. Thanks to everyone's generosity we will be helping to make a real difference to local children and their families this winter. Amazing job Team GoodGym!!
