Five GoodGymmers went for a sunset run along Hilsea Lines to celebrate the longest day of the year.

Our route took us past the Anchorage Park Rock Snake - a collection of painted rocks added to by the community during lockdown. We were amazed how long it had gotten! Some of our favourites included NHS ROCKS!, Pikachu, The Hulk and the Subway logo.

We also came across a bee strolling casually along the footpath, and our hero Louisa saved the day by carefully moving the little scamp on to a nearby flower.

Catherine demonstrated some beautiful skipping on our run back, which she reports felt much easier than running!

At the end of our run, we stopped for a socially-distanced snack and drink break. Catherine brought us some delicious cupcakes, which were very much appreciated. Judy's cherries were also super sweet and tasty! Lynn also gave us an insight in to her work life by cracking out the Bat Phone (sorry, bat locator!) but sadly we didn't find any bats nearby.

Thanks to a lovely group for a a beautiful evening. Unfortunately the sun went behind the clouds for the formal sunset, but Lou and Catherine got some great shots along the way!
